Own product
Motiv is our own hire product, in build for a two-car Mercedes C-Class fleet. The job is to book a car the way you book a table: see it, pass the checks, pay a hold, collect. No one should have to ring a mobile to find out if Sunday is free.
Payments and identity sit behind flags until the fleet is ready. The booking state machine is already the product: every status has a next step, and the admin desk can see the same truth the driver sees.
What the build does
Technical on purpose. Useful in the room.

A booking that cannot get stuck in a chat
Availability, eligibility, the agreement, and the walkaround photos are steps in one machine. If a step is not done, the hire does not move. That is the point of a state machine instead of a spreadsheet.

Money and identity when the fleet is real
Stripe holds and identity checks are wired, then switched with flags. You can rehearse the desk without taking a live deposit. When the cars are ready, the same flow takes money.

Keys still change hands in person
Vehicle unlock stays off on purpose. Twilio and email tell people where they stand. The handover is still a human with a key, which is the honest version for two cars.
